Janhvi Kapoor has expressed strong disapproval over the recent Vadodara car crash that left one woman dead and four others seriously injured. The tragic accident occurred when 20-year-old Rakshit Chaurasiya allegedly lost control of his speeding car and rammed into five pedestrians near the Karelibag area. The incident, which has sparked public outrage, has also raised serious concerns about reckless driving in India.
Reacting to the shocking incident, Janhvi Kapoor took to her Instagram stories to voice her frustration. The actress reposted a video of the accident and wrote, "This is appalling and enraging. Sick to my stomach about anyone thinking this kind of behavior is something they can get away with. Intoxicated or not." Her strong reaction has resonated with many, as citizens continue to demand stricter road safety measures.
According to reports, Chaurasiya, who was driving at a speed of 120 km/hour, initially claimed that the accident occurred because the emergency airbag blocked his view. He was arrested shortly after the crash and underwent a medical examination to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol. However, the results of the test have not yet been made public.
Janhvi Kapoor, known for films like Mili and Bawaal, often uses her social media platform to speak on issues that resonate with her. While she generally keeps her posts centred on her work and personal moments, her reaction to this tragic incident highlights her concern for social responsibility.
