Amidst the ongoing debate over Sanjay Leela Bhansali's alleged strictness on set, actress Richa Chadha has emerged as a staunch defender of the acclaimed filmmaker. Chadha, known for her candid opinions, has spoken out in support of Bhansali, asserting that actors must bring their utmost dedication when collaborating with him.
In an interview with Bollywood Life, he emphasized that Bhansali's demanding nature requires performers to engage fully, stating, “No offence to actors but today even they have become lazy and with Sanjay sir, you have to act with your whole body and give 100 percent focus.”
Actor Ranbir Kapoor referred to him as a 'hard tasker' in an interview. However, Chadha's defence aligns with sentiments expressed by veteran actor Shekhar Suman, who compared Bhansali's approach to that of iconic directors like Raj Kapoor and K Asif. Additionally, Chadha's co-star in the upcoming series Heeramandi, Manisha Koirala, echoed her sentiments by emphasizing Bhansali's pursuit of perfection rather than mere strictness.
As the discussion around Bhansali's directorial style persisted, Chadha's outspoken stance offered insight into the intricacies of working in Bollywood's creative sphere. Her remarks shed light on the challenges actors face when collaborating with directors who demand nothing short of excellence. With the support of Chadha and Koirala, Bhansali's reputation as a visionary filmmaker remains intact.
