Farhan Akhtar, the actor, will be the next guest on Arbaaz Khan's show Pinch. He took on trolls, addressed the Salim Khan-Javed Akhtar fallout, and addressed the ongoing rumours regarding his film Don 3 in his usual hilarious flair.
Farhan responded to a troll who called him a flop hero with only one hit by saying, he said at least thanks to his flops, people got to experience Milkha film's story. Another hater wondered where he was because they hadn't heard his "hoarse voice" in a long time. Farhan said that he, too, will put up with it.
Trolling is an aspect of social media, according to Farhan, and one must become used to it. According to him, everyone who uses social media must have thick skin to some level. One troll told Farhan that celebrities like him enjoy getting trolled in another part of the film, to which he replied, Exactly, that's why he joined social media.
Arbaaz also asked about the feud between their fathers, Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, who were once a popular combo and had a string of successes. Farhan commented on this, saying he finds it incredible that whatever happened between them never reached him or Arbaaz. Together, they wrote roughly 21 films, including classics like Zanjeer, Deewar, and Sholay. They broke up in 1982, after a 12-year professional relationship.
Despite Farhan's repeated declarations that he isn't even close to completing the third instalment of the Don franchise, there has been significant speculation that he is. While the majority of fans continue to call for the film's release, others have hurled a few insults his way. Farhan joked that he has a love-hate connection with them, saying, Yaar, please give him Don 3, and then abusing him with the harshest of terms.
Pinch airs weekly on Zee 5.
