Colors TV's popular primetime daily soap Balika Vadhu is all set to return with its season 2. The show dealt with the issue of child marriage in India and gathered a huge fan following. It aired from July 2008 to July 2016. Balika Vadhu starred Avika Gor and Avinash, Mukherjee which was later taken over by Siddharth Shukla, late actress Pratyusha Banerjee. Later, she Toral Rasputra took over the role of Anandi.
Recently, a promo released by the channel had a little girl, who is dressed in traditional Rajasthani colourful attire and is called beautiful by a woman whose face is blurred and says that they need to find a small prince for her. Sharing the video on their official Instagram handle, the channel wrote, "“Baal vivaah wo kuprathahai jo aajbhisamaajmeinjeevithai! Isko mitaanekeliyejanmliyahaieknayi Anandi, eknayi Balika Vadhu ne. Balika Vadhu Season 2 jald hi aa rahahaisirf #Colors par. #BalikaVadhu2.”

The show is most likely to go on air from August and take the primetime slot again. According to the reports, Shreya Patel of Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha fame and BalVeer actor Vansh Sayani will step in as the main leads in season 2. The show has reportedly started shooting for its introductory sequence in Rajasthan and will soon shift its sets to Mumbai. Riddhi Nayak Shukla, Ketki Dave, Seema Mishra, Anshul Trivedi, Supriya Shukla are the other additions to the cast.
