SonyLIV is all set to stream the much-anticipated series, Maharani, on May 28 but just before the show goes live; the makers have dropped yet another fascinating and intriguing look by Huma Qureshi. After taking the internet by storm with the teaser; Huma’s Chief Minister look is brilliantly designed.

FIRST LOOK: Huma Qureshi turns Chief Minister for SonyLIV’s Maharani

For the CM look, the actress has donned dark shade sarees clubbed with shawls symbolizing the right attitude required for her role. With dark kohl eyes and a red bindi, Huma proves that she is here to stay and the look is perfectly adorned by her character.

Talking about her Chief Minister look, Huma Qureshi said, I’m excited and looking forward to the show streaming soon. We’ve got a great response to the teaser and I’m sure our viewers will be well entertained through the show. Playing Rani Bharati is multifaceted, she has various shades associated to her character and that has been a great honor to portray. To get into the skin of the character, we tried on various looks that helped establish the phases in her life.

Illiterate yet wise enough to separate the wheat from the chaff, docile yet combative when danger looms large on her family, Rani Bharati is a woman with striking contrasts. Her life turns upside down following a decision her husband takes. From milking cows, making gobar upalas to standing by her family despite all odds, what lies ahead of her is a mystery that’s waiting to unfold.

Will Rani be able to sail through this? Directed by Karan Sharma and created by Subhash Kapoor, the show features Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, and Vineet Kumar amongst others. Maharani is a fictionalized series that is set to release on 28th May only on SonyLIV.
