Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan will soon be welcoming their second child. The couple first became parents to Taimur in 2016. Saif already has two kids with his ex-wife Amrita Singh - Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. The actor maintains a healthy work life balance and therefore has gone on paternity leave to welcome his second kid with Kareena.
Saif Ali Khan who recently graced the cover of Elle India Magazine, spoke about taking paternity leave. Previously as well, the actor had taken a break from work to be with his kids.
Talking about taking paternity leave Saif said, "Who wants to work when you have a newborn at home! If you don’t see your children growing up, you’re making a mistake. And I can take time off from work—it’s a privileged position. Rather than follow a 9-to-5 routine, I live like an actor. Your dharma and approach to everything are based on your career.”
The Omkara actor further spoke about taking a break from work even in normal everyday life. He said that the profession he is in can be all consuming and that self care, rejuvenation and experiencing new things are important for him. Self care for the actor includes doing good films, eating right, good sleep and being at peace mentally.
Saif will be on a break till next month and then start shooting for Om Raut’s Adipurush also starring Prabhas.
